Went to the Dr yesterday - true to form, my ob walks in and the first thing out of his mouth, "Still pregnant?" Ha ha. As though I would have had the baby and not told him about it. His way of being funny. Since I have had the same ob for all three, I have heard this a couple of times before. Of course, this time, it has special significance, since this pregnancy has been considered "high risk". Be that as it may, it has been pretty uneventful. Heard the heart beat from the umbilical cord(didn't know they could do that!) as well as from baby's heart. Also true to form, baby moves around as soon as he looks for the heart beat, so I get to lay on the table with my immense belly covered with jelly(oops - rhymed!) and feel the baby squirming around. Makes me wonder if the baby can tell what's going on, or it is just a particularly squirmy baby?! Same thing happened at the ultrasound, which is why we don't know if it is a boy or a girl! Well, all is well, but now I have to go every two weeks. He is only about 5 minutes away from my house, so not too bad and there is an elevator so I don't have to lumber up a flight of stairs. Sometimes I go down the stairs for the excercise, but up is out. BP was good, iron levels good. Nothing to complain about. Right.
