Went for my first non-stress test today. Not a big deal, actually kind of fun. They just strap the monitor to your belly and record heartbeat and movements for a half hour or so. Kid wouldn't quit! It was almost embarrassing! Anyway, nurse said heartbeat was around 160 which sounds like a girl. We'll see. I am not going to go shopping on that info!

Well . . . the baby is still breech. There's time for him/her to spin around, but I am not real optimistic at the moment. All together have only gained 10 pounds, blood pressure and sugars are doing well. Because of the gestational diabetes, though, I have to go get a stress test done tomorrow am. I am guessing this is a just in case kind of thing. Baby moves around quite a bit and I am not worried. Better to do the test and have a point of comparison if there are later complications, I suppose. I guess I'll pre-register while I am at the hospital tomorrow and leave Kaitlin at my neighbor's house. Hopefully it won't take too long. It is still looking like the last week in May for the delivery, one way or another, because my dr doesn't want to let it go past 40 weeks, which is around 6/2/2. Our insurance is set to change on 6/1, so I put the word out that May is better than June. If the baby is still breech, this will be easier to guarantee, what with the c-section and all. And the dr says my uterus is pretty close to full size right now at 35/36 weeks! Means we've another big baby in the works! Maybe we should stop calling them babies, and call them moose, not squirrel! MEanwhile, I am so bad. I don't want to do chores, or pay bills. I just want to play on the internet or watch tv or go shopping for baby stuff. Where is that nesting deal? I need the boost to get the house and other things in order, but all I can think about it making a new set for my graphics site. Sick? or just lazy? or hormonal? Maybe all three - LOL!
